Two months old and we have definitely learned a lot about taking care of triplets. I wanted to share a friend's (in my Ph.D. program) motherhood blog with you that my mom and I read Friday night and laughed like seasoned triplet caregivers. lol. The dinners brought by friends and family have really helped! Thank you to Mimi and PaPaw, the Jaffees, the Lamberts, the Fogels, the Scotts, the Dunckels, Gail, and Amy and Jake!!!
It's only been two months, but we have learned so much! Our written schedule (I changed it a bit) keeps track of all input and output, vitamins, baths, walks, tummy time, etc. If you do walk into the house unannounced you will find it looks like we just tossed bottles and burp cloths everywhere. And be careful not to trip over Izzie's toys!
The girls are doing wonderfully and becoming much more alert. After watching The Happiest Baby on the Block this morning which reiterated much of what our Doula, Carol, told us about swaddling, white noise, sssshhhhing, and the calming reflex, we are very fortunate not to have babies that cry all the time. The techniques mentioned above really help keep the girls calm and hopefully will increase the hours they sleep. The girls pretty much only cry when they are hungry or wet and that usually happens at the same time. I'm knocking on wood right now. lol! I am very worried about having three babies teething or sick all at once. I will be calling in for reinforcements for sure!
Here are some great pictures of the girls (in birth order). As you can see Denver Paige was a little hungry and tried to eat Iyla, but not as much as in the one month picture. I even caught some smiles! You can also tell their head control is improving and their cheeks are filling out! Denver Paige and Iyla are in newborn diapers now and all the girls are in newborn clothes!!

| Yes, I need to work on the sign. The pictures are very impromptu based on what outfits they are all wearing so the sign is an afterthought! |
