Nursery

18 weeks! The babies are growing bigger every day or at least it seems my tummy is growing. I will post picture tomorrow!  I'm feeling great except very tired and heat intolerant! Sleeping is difficult and inconsistent because I am so uncomfortable trying to sleep on my left side. I continue to struggle with low blood pressure which has happened mostly when I lie on my back for ultrasound appointments. I am still working full time. I return to the maternal/fetal specialist on the 14th and hopefully we will know the sexes. I am very eager to find out. I have not felt the babies move, but my squished organs have made sitting and bending over very painful. As a good OT should, I have been positioning things I use often in higher places so I don't have to bend down/over. My family has been helping me around the house. ACD on her way down this weekend to help me finish the mural (see starting pictures at top) and get some other things knocked off the to do list. I do not have the endurance I used to when I would paint murals in New Orleans.  I have had great support from both friends and family in moving furniture, taking Izzie for walks, maternity clothes, mowing the lawn, and bringing me food when I was on weekend bed rest at the beginning. Thank you!!

Since these are the first Dinn grandchildren, we are using a dresser my dad made and artwork that Amy and I had in our rooms as babies. I just got them back from getting reframed. The top one my great aunt Catherine did and Jan Burke (friend of my parents) did the bottom one.

  1. So glad you started this blog! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help - from far, far away. . . The maternity clothes should now be in Dallas, and the muslins will be heading to CA this weekend and will make their way to you shortly.

The room is looking great, I love the beginning of the mural.
