I was admitted at 1pm yesterday with a good report from the specialist. The babies weigh in at A: 3.9lbs, B: 3.10lbs and C 4.5 lbs. The identicals did not gain as much weight as we hoped for over the last two weeks.
Last night was rough, getting only 3 hours of sleep because they started monitoring me at 9pm but baby B was a little stressed so they kept monitoring me all night. Which means no moving for me or the monitors stop monitoring. I was thankful I had a patient night nurse. My specialist came to check on me about 5:30 am and I called MDM about 6:15 am to tell him we are getting close to delivery. The IV is now in and I got the surgery prep talk. It made me flashback to December 1998 in Austin when I had the 2lb cyst and my right ovary removed in an oopherectomy. I was 19, a freshman at Southwestern University, just had finished finals, and it was my first major surgery. No one then knew the ramifications of that surgery. Although it was a long and difficult road to conceive because of the surgery, I am very lucky I am able too. They will be able to use the same transverse scar so I am about that. I will also be delivering something much more special than a melon sized mass!
So it is a wait and see game now on how Baby B acts. MDM is not on a flight yet, but we are anticipating soon. My mom is still here and my dad arrives tomorrow. MDM's parents are on stand-by as well. I will you all posted.
