The girls last week of summer school was this week! They go 3x a week and the assembly line prep for their lunches, school snack, hair, shoes, and after school snack seems very organized. I am not going to miss it for two weeks.
Hummus cucumber sandwiches, fruit salad, constipation candies (see recipe page) and Smart Pop.

Fun on the weekend. Toddler taxi rides kept the girls busy for awhile. Shout out to Matt, Gail, and Lauren for letting us borrow the Toddler Taxi. Still a hit!
After being solo with the girls 3 weekends in a row. I've noticed a lot about their play and relationships.
They all want my attention at the same time.
They do not like playing the same game or with the same toy like they used to.
Sharing is hard.
They have to take turns for everything because there are 3 of them.
Having 3 of everything makes life so much easier.
Life is really geared to twos.... two sides of the couch for jumping, two sides of the sink, two arms, two sides of the door, one pushes, one rides. I could go on and on.
They love pretend play.
I frequently use my OT skills to handle them and prevent meltdowns - problem solving the game to include every one, large obstacle courses, turn taking, patience, etc etc.
Washing dishes. This is a favorite right now. Hope the novelty doesn't wear off for 16 years.
They love helping in the kitchen! They love getting on the counter and helping. This makes me crazy, but I know it is fantastic for them. I clean up a lot - 5 meals/day and they are not clean at all. I have had the most fun with them cooking even though I know I will have a huge mess to clean up. We are working on that also. I need 2 more dustbusters and I'd be golden.
Sundays we've been going for a stroller run and park. We all 5 get exercise and so we are happy! Today we went to our future elementary school playground and the girls went on the big kids playground for the first time. They did great!
Rock wall climb, check! Yes, Nadine picked out her outfit today.
Two weeks till MDM comes home for the weekend!
