August Fun!

We had another great week. It was busy at work for me with Water Week, but a good week for the girls.  I am so over poop. I've been concerned about Iyla all week. I don't want a repeat of last Sunday night in the ER. I've been stressing about that all week, but things are improving. 

The girls are taking over! Make sure you always have the keys with you when entering and exiting the car. They don't like to unlock doors. lol

Making spinach sweet potato pancakes on Saturday morning. The girls love helping with the cooking. Not stressful at all.

The girls' favorite toys are books, Legos, pom poms, plastic animals, puzzles, dress up and babies/strollers. When I am playing with them, I am learning to spread my attention equally. They get jealous very quickly. 

Meanwhile in STL. MDM gave Riley a campus tour of WASH U. They had a great time catching up. 

Sunday was a fabulous day! I took the girls on a 3 mile run in our old park. We had a great time singing "Wheels on the Stroller" and counting the people/dogs walking by. I was brave enough to try out the playground by myself and the girls. It went well - luckily the girls follow me like little ducklings. 

We tried walking for a while. It didn't go that well.

Overall we had a great day on Sunday. I loved hanging out with the girls today. They are so much fun!!! They took a bath in my garden tub for the first time. Sooo fun for all of us. We weren't squeezed into a small bathroom and they had room in the tub to play and walk around. We are definitely doing that again!  In the afternoon, we read book after book for an hour it is soooo hot outside. We also talked to MDM a lot via Facetime. They are getting easier to talk to on the phone. We miss him a lot!! He'll be home for a weekend at the end of the month.
