1st swimming lessons

I have been looking forward to this morning for about 4 weeks now. Our first swimming lessons!! I don't work Thursday mornings so I wanted to have an organized activity for the girls. My friend Grace referred me to the swim coach at TMI who gives private lessons in the morning in TMI's indoor Olympic size pool. Although 30 degrees outside we were ready to swim this morning!  The girls get so excited when we leave the house now! It is such a rare occasion!  

1st Swim - May 2012 - 5 months old

New "mom" (one that doesn't fall down when you are holding 2 babies) suit - $74

Now that they are 15 months... I cannot get the girls to be together, smile, and look at the camera at the same time! They were moving and grooving all over the place and of course in 3 different directions. 

It definitely was 3 on 3 today! 

The girls loved swimming! The Coach uses lots of songs and different activities to get the girls used to being underwater, on their back, kicking, and climb out safely. It was fun and the girls did great. The one thing all the girls excelled at... climbing out of the pool after 30 minutes of swimming. Ha! They were cold and tired! They took a 3 hour nap after getting home! 

The Coach was fantastic and even helped my mom and I bathe and dress the girls afterword! Next time we are bringing more towels and probably a stroller to help keep one strapped in so the Coach doesn't always have to help us! 

I hope when MDM is home in May he can join us and by then the girls will be swimming laps! :)
