Helmets?

Another busy week for the 3 Marshketeers and me!  They are eating a lot, still sleeping through the night, and now wearing 6 month clothes!! Their hair is also growing!  We average 85 oz a day so we go through a can (total of 87 oz) of Neosure a day!  I found the cheapest formula is through the Abbott Pharmacy (40 cents cheaper than Amazon) when I subscribe for delivery every week! Izzie has gotten very used to the Fed-Ex and UPS person coming to the door. Speaking of Izzie, we got the carpets cleaned in preparation for MDM's (very allergic to Izzie) arrival on Monday night. Whoo-Hoo!! Iyla, of course, promptly spit up on them and Izzie rubbed her bottom on them. Fabulous.
This week I started PT because my back has been hurting for over a month now. Any movement in flexion causes me pain. I don't know why because I never bend forward to pick up infants in cribs or off the floor, or children with special needs running off!  The pain started keeping me from CrossFit and running which meant I had to do something about it. I have inflammation in my sacroiliac joint. The sacroiliac joint or SI joint is the joint in the bony pelvis between the sacrum and the ilium of the pelvis, which are joined by strong ligaments. Pregnancy can can affect the integrity of the ligament support around the SI joint. During pregnancy, female hormones are released that allow the connective tissues in the body to relax. The relaxation is necessary so that during delivery, the female pelvis can stretch enough to allow birth. This stretching results in changes to the SI joint, making them hypermobile.  Even though I didn't deliver the triplets, I still had some, tiny, barely noticeable, not-whale-like-at-all stretching occur. I have been to PT twice now and the pain is getting better!

Nadine, Denver Paige, and Iyla enjoying the cooler weather this week

Denver Paige getting measured at Star Cranial
We had a great experience at Star Cranial (mostly because it only took less than two hours for all three girls and they warmed our milk). We have decided to put off getting a helmet for Iyla for now. She is a candidate based on her current head shape, but since time is on our side right now, we are going to try positioning and the Tortle (a new product on the market). Usually they start wearing a helmet at 3 months if needed and our girls are 3 months, 16 days corrected age so we have about a month more to try less expensive methods.  We will continue getting the three girls measure every month to make sure their heads are rounding out. For positioning right now Iyla needs every thing to the left, Denver Paige needs every thing to the right, and Nadine just needs to keep mixing it up. Of course, I made signs and used post-its to remind us who was what direction.
The Tortle - Cousin Lauren got us 3 from producing the Dr. Oz show! Thank you Lauren!!
Nadine ready for anything and hungry as ever!
Nadine is our current feeder and grower! She is back to eating every two hours and growing out of clothes so fast! She will be catching up to Denver Paige and Iyla soon! Don't let that serious face fool you - Nadine also loves to sing in the morning. She gets this from a very talented singer - her mom! HA! I don't use an alarm clock anymore -just listen for the sweet sounds of Nadine singing!
Teamwork during tummy time. Nadine  (in red) was hungry. Denver Paige was figuring out how to get off the wedge and Iyla was just smiley as usual!
