Fun at the Threadgill Farm!

Margaret, my ex-intern, now employee, and sometime triplet babysitter invited us to her family farm this past Saturday. Margaret and her family were so hospitable and showed the girls their menagerie! 9 horses, 2 dogs, numerous cats, 30+ chickens, frogs, turtles, catfish, etc. It rained off and on so I was very glad we had the boots and a change of clothes!  We had a blast!

The girls' cowboy boots!

First stop - meeting a chicken up close

Horses!
Reecie, the boxer followed the girls everywhere and was so sweet!

Getting horse licks!

Going for a ride to the big pond in the big truck.
The girls thought this was the coolest thing to get a ride in a truck and not be in a car seat!

Catfish food - yes we used the whole bucket!

Feeding the catfish!

Big catfish!

Catfish we caught and released. Love Nadine's face.

Looking at dragonflies

Nadine getting a better view with Margaret's parents

Margaret teaching Iyla to cut strawberries. Nadine loved this since Iyla currently doesn't like strawberries and Nadine loves them.

2nd round for petting the horses. Iyla appropriately said "all done" when the horses got too close.

Playing in the water

Meeting a 23 year old cat

Checking out the hen house and gathering eggs

A few of the drive into the farm

The girls had a great time at the farm!!! Thank you Threadgill Family!

Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch at the local Methodist Church
2nd Halloween 2014
So this is the photo you get when a two women come up behind you and start asking questions and talking about your children while you are trying to take a picture. I need to work on instead of talking about how different my children look or how serious they look, ask them to help me get them to smile.

I love Iyla's facial expressions. She always has a good one for you.
To give Nadine and Denver Paige credit, they both have runny nose, did not eat much today, and Nadine might have conjunctivitis. It might not be all the ladies' fault. Luckily, as Aunt Moe said, I still have time to retake the photo.
