Labor Day 2014

The girls' first trip to the Texas State Aquarium. They loved seeing all the fish and they actually paid attention to what they were seeing instead of the people (see March zoo trip). The pointed at all the fish. Iyla labeled everything "Dada" which is why I am glad she is starting speech therapy on Tuesday.

Aquarium splash zone! The girls had a blast!

We went early to the Aquarium and the beach (see below) which works well in CC because no one gets up early in CC which means no lines or crowds for us!! We had full views of all the big tanks in the aquarium!

We will definitely be returning to the Aquarium soon!

 Nadine loves the water!
Swimming Saturday Afternoon - Denver Paige

 Jumping into the pool!

Toddler throw was a big hit!

 Happy Iyla!
Peggy (great grandmother) reading to Nadine and Denver Paige

Sunday morning trip to Mustang Island
Nadine loved the beach. Iyla, like with most things, took a while to warm up to the idea, but loved it in the end, and Denver Paige disliked most everything about the beach (notice no feet in sand).

 Denver Paige still unhappy.
Denver Paige, still unhappy, is getting tired here from all the core work she is doing since is trying her best to keep her feet off the sand. It was a great time to use all my OT advice I often give parents when taking their sensory kiddo to the beach for the first time. These girls are definitely making me a better OT!
