Here are two pictures from the clinic today. Since we are both working up at the front desk now, I coerced my business partner, Eric to be a potato head with me. Also pictured is one of my patients who is so excited about Halloween! We do a week full of Halloween theme based activities and I really missed playing with my kids this week. Instead I was busy meeting with the contractor, approving design samples, scheduling new patients, and going to the doctor.

Yesterday I had a great specialist appointment! The girls passed their first test with flying colors! With all of MDM's and my degrees, we are not surprised! lol. The girls passed their biophysical profile (BPP) - a test to keep track of movement, increases in heart rate with movement (nonstress test), muscle tone, breathing rate, and the amount of amniotic fluid (amniotic fluid index) surrounding the babies. If these five areas are within a normal range within a 30 minute time limit, the babies are considered to be in good health. It was a much shorter appointment - only an hour and a half! I was very happy about the shorter appointment since I didn't have a low blood pressure episode on the table which have become a reoccurring issue when on my back for so long. It gave my mom and I extra time make a stop at Babies R Us and get some more baby stuff using the gift cards we received.
Below is what was on my front porch today! Jennie, my friend from Southwestern University and Corpus, and her mom sent this cute monkey rocker to the girls! I love the three bananas on the tail! Izzie was not too sure about it, as with everything that has to do with the arrival of baby stuff. Thank you Jennie and Mollie!!
This fun, cute monkey rocker arrived today for the girls!
I am doing very well at 30 weeks! Although very limited in my activity, I am VERY THANKFUL I am not on bed rest! I am still able to go to work, take Izzie for a walk down the block twice a day (although at a snail's pace), can drive, and have great support from family and friends!! I treasure my daily naps and having lots of flexibility at work. I am also very thankful to have my own business, with a competent and understanding partner, (although he gives me lots of grief for my love of sleep and fondness of cheeseburgers), so I am able to have flexibility in my schedule without being penalized or beg for it from a boss. I also love that lately I have talked to more family members and friends then before I got pregnant. It has been great to reconnect and get better in touch with family and friends!
Such good news! You and Mike have given your girls great DNA. So glad they are thriving, and you are, too!
