Thursday was the girls first field trip in Kinder! They went to the zoo! Here are Nadine and Denver Paige with Avery, their friend.
Avery's mom sent me the pictures.
Iyla was in another group with her friends Annisha and Josephine. She was so excited to see a pig.
Josephine's mom sent me these pictures.
It was a cold, gusty morning on Friday. The girls and I turned the corner and a huge gust of wind came up. Girls went flying! Luckily the crossing guard and another mom helped me to close the umbrellas and get Iyla out of the street!
An early birthday present! Right in time for the cold front on Friday! Gloves are the only thing the girls asked for their birthday. So glad we had them Friday morning for our walk to school!
Friday afternoon we took Izzie to the vet. She's doing well in her old lady age. A few allergies but she's still going strong!
Saturday morning did not turn out how we planned. MDM left early for the hospital and I found myself with a flat tire. After a smooth Macgyver maneuver to patch up the hole. Who wants to change a tire?? We made it to Discount Tire to buy new tires for the black school bus! It actually drives so much better now... hmmmmm
Turkey in disguise homework! Parents encouraged to help since a turkey's life is at stake! YAY!!! I love Kinder!
Nailed it!!
Can you guess who did which turkey??
Also on Saturday we completed all of our November homework so birthday celebrating can commence! We probably made 8+ fires (over whole weekend) while did homework, played games and read! So fun! We also went to their elementary playground and the girls played while Izzie and I ran around the track. My afternoon workout to make up for spending the morning getting new tires and missing my CrossFit workout. I loved being able to watch the girls play on the playground while Izzie and I got to exercise! Izzie loved running around free! The girls showed off their monkey bar skills! The track is new this year and so nice!
Sunday we went to the Congregation Agudas Achim and HEB's 6th Annual Texas Kosher BBQ Championship! So fun and yummy! The girls did not mind the rain at all. The BBQ was fantastic and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The girls tried cotton candy and hot chocolate for the first time. Iyla and Nadine liked the cotton candy and only Nadine liked the hot chocolate. They all ate their weight in beans and tried lots of chicken and brisket. They really got into voting for their favorite.
Riding the rides!
Warming up by the fire playing Stay Alive!
Reading snuggles by the fire while daddy gets a late dinner of brisket after being at the hospital all day!
Funny faces with DP while reading by the fire!
