Botanical Gardens

We went back to the Botanical Gardens for the newly opened Family Adventure Garden. It was fantastic! So many fun things and the girls loved it! We invited our friends Isla (4) and Ellie (8). Isla  goes to school with the girls.

Nadine asked to bake something special for daddy on Sunday. It was the perfect time because Iyla fell asleep after we returned from the Botanical Gardens and Denver Paige was enjoying playing by herself.  Nadine has been having a rough time lately with anxiety. She is very worried she is going to have an accident at school. This happens to Iyla often, but she doesn't care. Nadine has been crying every morning and complaining of stomach pain. She begs me to come pick them up early every day. It makes me very sad to see her so upset.  It has been a very stressful couple of weeks for us. I have been late to work multiple times because we've been hanging out the bathroom.
When Nadine asked to bake today - I happily obliged to get some much needed 1-1 time with her. We had a good time and made a delicious loaf of pumpkin bread which the whole family enjoyed together.

For Spring Break the girls are getting a change of scenery and attending a SB camp at the Jewish Heintz Preschool. I am hoping it will be positive for Nadine. If everything goes well they will be attending summer there also. It is closer to the house and offers a more wide variety of activities. It is all literacy based in the summer also. The girls are very ready to read!

We are trying to decide about our summer family vacation. If anyone has great ideas, please let us know!
