The girls Easter party was on Wednesday afternoon. My schedule was clear so I went and volunteered at the party. I led the class in the bunny hop (above) and the girls loved showing me all around their classroom.
Eating their snack
All smiles!
From my friend Kim's FB post on our impromptu scooter playdate on Friday Morning:
100 Days of Happiness because YES -everyone should have SOMETHING to be happy about even if you don't think you have something to be happy about- Day Sixty.
I know Elizabeth. I know she exercises in her sleep. So this morning when I called her to tell her the kids really wanted to Scooter with the girls at 9am...one would think I knew what I was getting into. She does Crossfit EVERY DAY AT 5AM and no one is forcing her!!!! It's by choice?????. She runs 10k's. Marathons. She's a professional swimmer. So again- why would I make this call to go scootering? (Not electric scooters by the way)
So she tells me over the phone. Yep. Great idea. I just have to leave by 11:45am to do my 3rd workout for the day but yes. Come on over. #awesome. Load the micro scooters. Here we go. We walk in. The kids are ready to scoot in the driveway and Elizabeth tells the girls to grab their helmets? #comeagain Ummm I just came to hang out and catch up. I didn't come to actually get any steps on my Fitbit??? I didn't know that was part of the plan.
Before i can find a quick escape- we are on a five mile hike / scooter brigade. Which prompts me to ask Elizabeth how Iyla is going 35 mph on her scooter and I'm now realizing why the girls have helmets on. It's kamikaze scootering. So- Elizabeth how do the girls know how to go so fast? You mentioned you wanted to be able to work out while they were on their scooters- but does that mean you originally drug them behind your bike? Your car? So they would learn to go fast? Because short pint size legs don't move this fast. If they fell off- they'd be thrown into next Thursday by this lightning speed!
Oh ha ha ha Kim you're so funny. No no I'm
Not. Note to self: only participate with Elizabeth in craft activities. I do not exercise. We had to deal with war wounds on every child upon our return. Surgical cloths were brought out to clean the mud and blood off the #preschoolposse #scootergang #scooterdie
