Winter is here!

This was 3 years ago! Crazy how time flies! Another memory popped on my FB memory this week that Nadine, the last one out of the NICU, came home on the 16th. We have so much to be thankful for and I wish they wouldn't grow so fast!

I sent this picture to Aunt Gail because it reminded me so much of Lauren at this age. It is her car also.

My office Christmas party was Friday night. We had a great time. The staff wrote letters to Eric and me. I was so touched by the appreciation and respect. We have a great group of people!!

The girls have been asking to make gingerbread cookies since they chased a gingerbread man all over their school. They are still talking about how much fun it was. I found a gingerbread recipe on Food Babe and the girls were thrilled. I am sure not many of you have baked or cooked with triplets, but not only do you have to pay attention to the recipe but also remember who's turn it is to help and make sure the other two are not eating, pouring, about to break or make a mess of something. It is a huge lesson in patience and multitasking. Sometimes I do it well. Sometimes I forget a key ingredient. That is, if I follow the recipe. I am notorious, like my grandmother, for not following the recipe and adding in things.

Working a puzzle and inspecting the Christmas Tree (a daily activity)
Sunday was cold - 28 degrees so we stayed in after going to workout - my only chance to talk to adults during the weekend. We We worked puzzles, played 3 games of Christmas memory (still a hit, Gail!) all by the fire! The girls love having a fire so we had 4 in one day!
I also tried cooking again. Usually it takes about an hour to cook muffins or sweet potatoes - not with triplets who want to help, need to be wiped, get hit by the sister, or want a tunnel built in the living room.  Again, patience and multitasking at its best. The cranberry orange muffins were edible and approved by them, but not great. I've made better. The baked sweet potatoes fries were gobbled up even though I forgot them in the oven.  Successful day - the house didn't burn down,  I got to workout and drink coffee without it getting cold (thanks to MDM's 12 hour coffee mugs) AND spend quality time with my girls. I'm ready for work tomorrow! lol
