The girls were November Pediped monthly winners! Cousin Kate took the photo this summer and I entered it into their monthly contest to win a pair of Pedipeds.
The girls and I drove to Lake Conroe (Willis, Texas) on Tuesday. It was the longest drive for me and girls. I learned a lot in those hours of driving as a new mom. From 4 stops (how fast can I use the bathroom at a rest stop), first exposure to a DVD, cutting an apple while driving - there was a lot to learn.
We made it! Lynn, my SNL introduced me to squeeze packets of applesauce - hence the last picture in this post). lol.
Getting the girls to sleep was difficult. They were in one bed. I need to find something between a pack-n-play and sleeping bag to make travels much easier for sleeping.
It was great to see all the cousins and in-laws and now we'll have a great story to tell about our adventures in Conroe!

MDM and his bothers

Fun at the Houston children's museum. The girls loved the real life cars.
We spent NYE in Houston with ACD and had so much fun at the Houston Children's Museum (very crowded), big girls lunch at Lucile's, and playing on Amy's neighborhood playground. So fun!! Then we picked up MDM at the airport that night.
Triplet Jam Session with Amy later that day!
We came back on Friday morning so MDM could sleep at home one night and the girls could get back on a normal routine.
Iyla is all smiles!
MDM having some fun on the swings

Yard Farmers Market on Sunday - tamales, coffee, grapefruit, great friends and a mud puddle kinda morning!

Puddle stomping on our walk!!
I made the girls carrot smoothies (carrots, pineapple, banana, OJ, cinnamon, and water) during nap time. They loved them for their afternoon snack and I made some pouches for the freezer also. Might try these out for awhile, but we'll see. I would do it definitely for 1 child, but not sure it's worth it for three. I found some organic applesauce at HEB based on Lynn's suggestions. Very helpful because we're on the go more now. I also made some veggie muffins - the girls ate them up also - everything is so easy with the Vitamix. Why I choose to make the girls food (was asked this during this past weekend because I brought the girls own food which called for a lot of preparation on my part)? In honor of the new year and eating better - here's an interesting video - some food for thought.
