Below are the pictures right before all hell broke loose.
Picture it... 89 degrees, 3 x 18 month olds playing on their driveway. Mom enjoying watching her children mastering their gross motor skills with ride on toys.
Then these smart girls thought it was funny to run down the driveway away from me. So that meant run toward the street. Last night I didn't grow a third arm, so I was stuck in a very hard place. I contemplated many options. Yell for help hoping a new neighbor would come out and help me, sit till my mom arrive home (30 mins plus) or suck it up and carry the wonderful 90lbs God gave me as children. Was thinking, I can deadlift 190 lbs so 90 will be a piece of cake. hahaha.
Plates don't squirm and scream as you carry them back across the street and into your front lawn. Stop, re-adjust, comfort, walk, stop, readjust, stop readjust, try to comfort, but really it turned it into "suck it up girls" you got us into this mess that I am sure all the neighbors are enjoying, but still not coming out to help. Why did I think all neighbors watch out their windows at all hours of the days. I am very appreciative of the neighbor who stopped for us in the middle of the road when Denver Paige was in her full non-compliance mood and I was holding the other two. Choice made here -choose the lightest two when chasing triplets.
Once I got back to the house there was no crying on my part. Yes, I was surprised also after our daughters were running into the street and I was not able to control/gather them. I went into action mode - made them dinner, and was very happy the custom gate guy was coming on Monday morning to measure for a gate. PS. Izzie has run off 3 times. Very frustrating.
It's been a long week/end since I have been working on opening a 2nd location for my business. I am tired, but enthusiastic about the future of my business.
The girls are thriving and I found story times 3 days a week the girls can attend for free. Very excited about that since everything else has been very expensive. They will be 19 months in 10 days!! The twins talking up a storm and Iyla is into figuring out how everything works. They prefer being and playing outside. They love the swings. Their favorite songs are wheels on the bus, itsy bitsy spider and if you're happy and you know it. They are mastering the hand motions this week!!! so much fun to watch. Will make a video this week.
I hung some more of our artwork tonight which made me very happy!
Good night!
