I am having so much fun with the girls on the weekend! They respond so well to humor, distraction, and playing! Today we played for over an hour in the backyard. Although they tried to get into my garden beds, I quickly learned it was only to get attention from me. I have no idea why they might need some attention! So much fun playing simple games. I love being able to use some of my Floortime and OT tricks with them during play and it working beautifully! Here are some pictures from this weekend!
The girls love playing outside no matter how they get there!
Smiles before nap time on Saturday!
Nadine is holding 2 lovies - they each have two and love them dearly. Denver Paige is holding a spoon and a lovie. Spoons and bowls are very popular right now. The girls are doing very well on self-feeding with spoons.
Denver Paige's new word for the week.
The girls all know 3 words and 4 signs each now.
Nadine: dada (her favorite), momma (only said in dire need and after saying dada a billion times), baby
Denver Paige: dada, momma, woof
Iyla: momma, dada, dog
Signs: milk, more, eat, please.
Emerging signs: all done and thank you
Still loving the laundry basket. Although 3 don't fit anymore. They try to share! Sharing is caring! Nadine is all about fashion lately! She is my socialite and fashion queen! She was the only one who cared for the tutus I showed them on Saturday.
Sunday Funday! Introduced MG beads on Sunday morning so I could finish a chapter in my book club book. Miss my Sunday ritual of coffee and reading! I just joined a book club which makes me feel like a grownup, but finding time to read is difficult! The girls loved the beads! Denver Paige and Nadine put them on. Nadine wore them all day. Iyla loved playing with them, but never put any on.
I made green pancakes for St. Patrick's Day.
Izzie was excited and the girls loved them! They are getting them for breakfast tomorrow since I am still solo. My mom is taking more extended weekends lately, which is great!
Green pancake ingredients: Super Greens Trio, homegrown kale, homegrown lavender, 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 1/2 cup broccoli, a shake of Grenadian spice (thanks MDM!), a scoop of hemp protein, a quick pour of vanilla extract, and Red Bob Mill Buckwheat pancake mix. The girls loved them.
