The girls are 3 months old today and I can't help but reflect on how far they have come and how well they are doing for being 7 weeks premature. As I have explained before, chronologically the girls are 3 months old, but using their corrected age they are 1 month, 6 days (for prematurity). They are smiling and cooing now. They are still eating every 2-3 hours and only taking about 3 ounces so my goal is to increase that this week and start sleep training soon. Sleep training triplets! Wow! I think that will be as much fun as potty training triplets. Of which I have high hopes to potty train them by age two to help save on the cost of diapers. 30 diapers a day gets costly!! I have already calculated we have gone through probably 2300 diapers in 3 months. I am sure somebody will correct my math, but anyway you smell it that is a lot of diapers!
I am so thankful they are doing fantastically well! I will take 3 month pictures tomorrow! I have been very busy with work, planning an open house for the clinic, working out, and of course taking care of the girls! I need coffee in IV form!
That many diapers are mind boggling! Happy 3 months! How exciting that they are cooing and smiling. I'll be interested to hear about "sleep training" as I never knew anything about that!
